High inTensity interactive formationThis program is designed for disciples who already have the Foundational Faith Formation Certificate, or a theology degree and want to continue their education as part of their Christian pilgrimage.
This program is offered by the Archdiocese of Las Vegas every 2 years and consists of 80 hours of formation in the following modules:- Development of Doctrine

Courses are 10 hour dive deep into the following areas of our faith:
Development of Doctrine
Ecclesiology
History of the Church
Liturgy
Old Testament Themes
New Testament Themes
Christology II (7th Century through present day)
Morality II (Catholic Social Teaching)

Currently all classes are held in Anderson Hall at the Archdiocesan Chancery (336 Cathedral Way, Las Vegas, NV 89109).
They are held in 2 hour increments from 6:30-8:30pm on Tuesday nights. Each hour has a specific 3 part format:- Part One: Small Group discussion
Here you discuss the required reading for that hour with a small group of your peers. Each hour has 3 prompts for your discussion you are given your notes to use for discussion on those prompts. - Part Two: Large Group discussion
During this section we bring the 3 prompts to the large group so that you might get insight into what the rest of the groups had understood and experienced in the reading. This is also where the facilitator will break open background and key take aways from learning objectives for this hour. - Part Three: The Case Study
Each hour ends with a Theological case study where you will get to see instances of the key principles from the learning objectives in play throughout Church history. In some instances it will show how and when theology aligned with those principles as well as time when there was controversy because a proposed theology did not align with the principles.

To participate you must be an adult in the Archdiocese of Las Vegas who holds a current and valid (not expired) Archdiocesan Certification or a Theology or Ministry degree from an accredited university.
Additionally you must be able to commit to the 10 weeks of classes for each semester for your 2 year cohort.

Because a large portion of this program relies on group interaction our attendance policy must be strictly adhered to.
If you miss more than 2 hours of any one course that course would be considered "incomplete". To make up that course you would need to complete the course when it is offered during the next cohort.
If you receive an "incomplete" in 2 of the 8 courses you will be asked to withdraw from the cohort and would if you would like to continue the program you would need to reenroll and participate with the next cohort.

There is required work for each hour of class. Here is the breakdown:
- Required Reading for the hour
- 3 discussion prompts responded to online due the Monday before class.
This means that for every 2 hour class meeting you would have prepared by reading 2 required reading sections and responding to 6 discussion prompts weekly.
At the end of the 2 years there is a Capstone paper that is due. Here are the details regarding that paper:- 6-10 pages in length
- Uses references and resources you gained in the class
- Addresses how these courses have shaped your understanding of the Catholic faith, your practice of that faith as a disciple, and how it has influenced you to move forward in the mission of the Church.

There are 2 associated costs for this program:
- A one time enrollment fee of $75, nonrefundable and collected at the time of your enrollment.
- A per class fee of $150. This is collected per semester as you participate in your cohort.
In total the program will cost $1275 for those who complete it.

- The Oxford Press Catholic Study Bible
