The Archdiocese of Las Vegas has released a groundbreaking new documentary, A Journey of Hope: The Story of the Catholic Church in Southern Nevada, chronicling the Church’s 30-year history as a diocese and the 250-year legacy of faith first brought to Nevada by early missionaries.

Catholic bishops, priests, and hundreds of faithful gathered along the U.S.–Mexico border on Sunday, October 12, for a powerful demonstration of faith and unity in support of migrants and refugees. The Binational Encuentro: Migrants, Pilgrims of Hope brought together representatives from more than two dozen dioceses across the United States and Mexico to process, pray, and celebrate Mass as one Church without borders.

Father Puhlman was born on July 18, 1949, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Margaret and Albert Puhlman. He was one of four siblings: Peggy, Martha, and Albert Jr. The family moved to California when he was nine, where he completed school and began his journey in religious life with the Salesians of Don Bosco. Later, he pursued priestly formation in the Diocese of Orange and was ordained on June 9, 1984, by Most Rev. William Johnson.
